Ryan’s scholarly research includes critical plant studies. His recent books include Introduction to the Environmental Humanities and The Mind of Plants: Narratives of Vegetal Intelligence. Ryan’s poetic practice focuses on vegetal life and human-plant relationships and is widely published.
